Subject Description

Integrated Learning: Social Media & Marketing is a subject based on an ‘in-house’ production company focused on the development of materials (video and print) for the school and wider community-the focus is on the creation of materials. Students will work as a class and in small groups to plan, develop, create, and advertise school events.

The subject is designed for students who have a keen interest in video and print media and have the ability to work both collaboratively and independently on large-scale productions.

Students will be assessed against the practical, group activity as well as the folio & discussion during the development of school publications and associated advertising material. Students will develop skills in using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop as well as time and project management skills.

Students wishing to complete multiple media-based subjects will need to organise a meeting with the subject teacher to ascertain suitability.
